So a long weekend with a lot of work but little progress however, I got what I believe is a good diagnosis for that is happening. I started out having an issue with the bug staying running....It would start but not run at idle. I did a lot of google fu trying to find the answers. The first thing I did was to make sure that I was getting spark. I used a test light connected to the negative side of the coil then I grounded the test light and rotated the engine to where the rotor would open the points and cause the test light to turn on. as shown in this You Tube video.  Testing for spark The next thing after this was to make sure that I had the Carburetor adjusted correctly. Since I had already rebuilt it I knew that there was nothing in the jets, and that the bowl and floats were working well. I also had just replaced the fuel filter and I had drained the old gas and put new 5 gallons in it. Then I reset the carburetor to ensure that it was at least initially set with the correct idle

Change the Spark Plugs, Wires and Distributor Cap

It was an easy day once I got the right sockets to match the old and the new plugs. I used NGK copper core plugs and I set the gap to .6mm. I started by taking out the left rear plug, it would be the one closest to the driver. I removed it and found it was covered in black soot and the gap visibly looked HUGE. I noticed that they all looked the same so that was a good sign to me that not one was working or burning harder than another. As I took one off and replaced it I also replaced the wire to it. I did this across all then decided to replace the Distributor Cap. I pulled each plug and replaced them respectively onto the corresponding post on the new cap.  I get to the center wire that goes from the Coil to the Distributor and it is about 8 inches long....TOO SHORT....I used Omni Spark 7mm wires part 9281 and the center wire was too short. Obviously because of where the coil was mounted the center wire was short. So I either remount the coil somewhere else, or get a longer center w
